DESTINY YOUTHS MINISTRIES PROFILE
BACKGROUND / HISTORY

Destiny Youths Ministries was founded under the Umbrella of
Miracle Embassy Ministries, One of the Local Church in Mbale Town.
Destiny Youths Ministries Started in 2013 after we staged a crusade
in one of the slums in Tororo (Bison).
The Slum was Characterized by the following:-

Alcoholism is the order of the day.

Children sacrifice
-
High rates of abortions.
-
Witchcraft
-
High rates of early Marriages and many others.
Many youths and the Elderly came to Christ and after the Crusade the youth where put to serious training as the foundation of building them up to the things of God and the teaching of Christ according to Mathew 28:19-20 .One of the youth (a girl) open up her testimony how she has been spending her life and number of Abortions she had done and it left the people in the state of anarchy.
She said that she is a complete Orphan, her father and mother died in 2009 and left her the responsibility of looking after her 3 brothers and one sister. She said that they had hope in their uncles who in return neglected them and took away everything that their parents had left to them in form of properties.
One of the youth Testified on the food crisis that leads them to eating of the rat as the solution to quench down the hunger. He said that one day they stole an old skin of a cow which they used as source for food.
Youth are the future generation that if not properly handled and instructed, we shall not affect the world as the Church of Christ.
Therefore Destiny Youths Ministries was founded with the following aims and objectives:-

To fight and create unity among the youths of Uganda and other nations worldwide through making of conferences, youth camping and other activities which are appropriate for the youth Building.

To up bring God fearing Youths in this nation of Uganda and others.

Making spiritual preparations in Youth that will lead to quality future leaders through teaching the word of God in the later day creating a free a peaceful nation, free of corruption and theft.

To reduce poverty among the Churches by establishing income generating activities like tea planting, art and craft, piggery youth savings and credit organization and training on project implementation activities.

To plant and establish ministries at national and international level as a way of reaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to unreachable.

To embrace and influence the Youth and government programs by engaging them on government activities.

MISSION STATEMENT
Destiny Youths Ministries Uganda (DYM) encourages proactive solutions to community and needs left unmet by the global economy. DYM provides education and tools to promote youth and child development based on community sensitization. As a grass root organization, DYM promotes self –reliance and builds connections for a healthy community.
Destiny Youths Ministries Uganda (DYM) is a community youth project that aims at reaching the unreachable youths with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and also empower the Youth and the disadvantaged children residing in Mbale and surrounding districts. The Youth and the children who are left and put aside by several programs, governments and other NGOS, are the future of every strong economy, for this reason our concern is towards the change of this group of people.
In a healthy economy, all members of the community including the children are able to meet their needs in a sustainable manner.
The dominant modern economy based on globalization and monoculture has created mass un employment among the Youths forcing them to be engaged in bad practices, environmental destruction, and the disruption of long-standing cultural practices, Destiny Youths Ministries seeks to support the youths in education, training, organizing them and sustaining community development based on self-reliance, empowering them through skills (majorly hands-on), community building among others, so as enable them earn a living through self-employment.
Destiny Youths Ministries Principles is that everyone in the community is valuable and has skills that benefit the community-even the people who are usually ignored by the centralized economy.
While others are struggling, Destiny Youths Ministries focuses to build the youth, children and the community wealth, trust and self reliance within our region; because we believe the wealth of any economy is in the young generation.
